It seems the completion date keeps getting put back, and every time I pass I see no-one working on it, even though many Koreans are unemployed at this time.

Anyone know what's going on with this?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-268789363253190247.post-2237613988321605092009-12-15T21:49:16.787+09:002009-12-15T21:49:16.787+09:00Thanks for your comment. I certainly admire Korea's drive and enthusiasm for progress - it's one of the things which makes this country more interesting than my own.

And welcome back to Korea :-)Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15349691823513127693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-268789363253190247.post-71888697996306597172009-12-15T04:12:38.965+09:002009-12-15T04:12:38.965+09:00I'm a soon to be expate and will be moving to ...I'm a soon to be expate and will be moving to Busan from US. I find your blog very informative and quite funny at times. I was born in Korea and have little better understanding of curious and often outrageous things in Korea. Having said that, there has never been a country where it rose from the ashes of war and foreign occupation so quickly. This rapid industrialization and economic growth to compete in global market came at a price and "bbali bbali byeung" is one of them among many things. As things get better and better this whirlpool of chaos will stabilize and hopefully things will find it's place. After all things like standing in line and safety comes second when you're hungry and trying to provide for your starving family.
I'm no expert and it is just an opinion of a some guy.
I enjoy your stories.
moerat from maryland, usaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
